Request of Fasnacht Booking, Wichita. Mrs. Doreen Fasnacht addressed the board regarding use of the grounds on Saturday and Sunday, August 24–25, for a music program of sixteen acts. Mrs. Fasnacht stated that the acts would provide their own sound. Mr. Voth asked how loud. Mrs. Fasnacht stated that it would vary.

Stage. Mrs. Fasnacht stated that one act will not perform on plywood. The board discussed the old wash rack behind the livestock barns. It was agreed that the wash rack is concrete.

Fence. Moved by Mr. Voth, seconded by Mrs. Hiebert, that the hay bales remaining after the fair be retained in place as a fence through August 25 and returned to the barns on August 26. Carried.

Chairs. Mrs. Fasnacht requested the use of three hundred folding chairs from the 4-H building on the evening of August 24. Mr. Voth asked what the chairs were for. Mrs. Fasnacht stated they were for the last band. Mr. Voth stated that the last band could stand. Mrs. Fasnacht stated that they could not. Moved and seconded that the chairs be made available. Carried, Mr. Voth abstaining.

Lease. Moved and seconded that the grounds be leased to Fasnacht Booking for the sum of four hundred dollars and the cost of cleanup. Carried unanimously.

Adjournment. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:05 p.m.
